You've spent the last hour rocking your baby to bed. Exhausted, you look forward to a shower or maybe a bite to eat, and a minute to breathe where childcare isn't your primary concern.
But try to lay your baby down and that little rascal immediately wakes up.
This is a story most parents can relate to. If you are a petite parent, say below 5'4", transferring babies to a crib can be even harder.
Drop Side Cribs
If it were possible to just drop one side of the crib, it would be much easier to maneuver a sleeping baby into position.
Back in 2012 it became illegal to sell or manufacture drop side cribs, where parents could drop one side of the crib. This was on the back of a number of CPSC crib recalls, citing laceration, fall, malfunction risk.

Union 3-in-1 Convertible Crib - Budget Option
The Union crib is also Greenguard gold certified and comes in at the most affordable price of the low profile cribs we've seen. Perhaps because of that, there tend to be a few more negative reviews, but for those on a budget, plenty of parents seem satisfied with this crib. It also happens to be the shortest crib.
Storkcraft Hillcrest Convertible Crib - Value Option
The Storkcraft Hillcrest Convertible Crib is a 4 in 1 crib that can convert to a toddler bed, day bed, and full size bed. It has a 3 position adjustable mattress height and satisfies JPMA, CSPC, and ASTM standards.
It's relatively cheaper than the rest, though it's not Greenguard gold certified.
Staying Asleep
Getting a baby to sleep can be a battle. It becomes all the more frustrating when you think you're done and as soon as you try to put your baby down, the wails start.
All you want is for your baby to stay asleep a bit longer so you can get things done!
